 CONCEPT

This project, intangible #form, explores the creation of perceptual structures in space using laser optical axes that lack tangible physicality.

When we perceive a structure, we instinctively attempt to calculate and understand its curves, spatial dynamics, and physical rules. This reflexive, almost primal response is universal—an innate process that drives us to make sense of the unseen. Through this process, the behaviors of space and structure shape our criteria for distinguishing the organic from the inorganic, giving rise to notions such as consciousness and the soul.

The countless lines created by the laser resemble fragments of imagery forming within the mind when we strive to understand something. They are like glimpses into the unseen dynamics unfolding within our cognition—almost as if observing a process that occurs instantaneously, slowed down and made visible.

By constructing experiences, spaces, and structures that exist in a liminal state between the real and the intangible, this work invites viewers to contemplate the unseen dynamics that shape our perception of space. Through the immaterial medium of laser light, it seeks to materialize the intangible and offer viewers a bird's eye view of their own cognitive processes, examining the interplay between perception, imagination, and reality.
